Bombi was founded by Kelsey Nolan, Mike Fusco, and Chris Parente, self-proclaimed “product junkies” with nearly 100 years of combined experience in the toy and juvenile space. “We knew we could create something eco-conscious, affordable, and durable while fostering an inclusive community of parents and supporting their everyday adventures,” Bombi co-founder Kelsey stated.
Designing an Ultra-Light Stroller for Travel With Purpose
When the team behind Bombi set about building their company, they were quickly faced with a few challenges. As a small business start-up that would be self-funded to launch, it wasn’t easy to incorporate an eco-conscious approach into the product development phase. Despite the difficulty, each product is now made from recycled water bottles, and for each light-weight stroller, the business even plants a tree.
“We’ve also completely eliminated single-use plastics from all of our packaging,” Kelsey continued. “We believe that our brand helps support the everyday adventure of being a parent by building products that are built to last. We are a proud partner of the 1% for the Planet, and each stroller supports important environmental causes, [including] The National Forest Foundation and The Rozalia Project.”
Bombi’s lightweight stroller is designed with purpose, beyond an attention to environmental issues. The company has even designed an ultra-light stroller for travel, which can fit in the overhead compartment of some airplanes. Additionally, it was created with a unique one-handed fold mechanism, perfect for parents on the go or those with mobility challenges.
